Life can be confusing and difficult for young adults. At Huish Episcopi we’re committed to doing everything we can to help guide pupils during their time with us and the high degree of pastoral support available at the school was clearly recognised in the March 2007 OFSTED report - “Care, guidance and support are outstanding”.
If your son or daughter suffers a moment of doubt or just needs a simple word of encouragement, rest assured - there’s always a member of staff on hand with the academic, social or personal support they need.
Support is extended through REACH (Reassuring Easy and Confidential Help), that offers counselling facilities, medical advice and personal advice.
“Care, guidance and support are outstanding. The school has established a very well run inclusion centre which is helping vulnerable students cope more effectively with factors affecting their behaviour, attendance and progress.Very high levels of monitoring ensure that teachers, teaching assistants, carers and outside agencies work together constructively to keep these students in full time education. Heads of Year track students’progress carefully, identify any underachieving students and check whether catch-up arrangements work.’ - OFSTED 2007
