This year's Sports Day focused on inclusion whilst still maintaining the important competitive aspect. Students were able to compete in athletics, as well as numerous 'alternative' activities on the AGP, such as welly wanging, tug-of-war, obstacle race, quidditch and ultimate frisbee. Students were given a participation point for each alternative sport they tried, which was added to their tutor group's athletics scores. Additionally, students also organised a summer fete with cake sales and various games available, raising an impressive £300 for Sports Relief.
Year group winners of Sports Day were:
Year 7: AMR
Year 8: NL
Year 9: DT
The overall winner for all three year groups, with a massive 427 points, was 9DT. Very well done to all students and staff on what was a very successful and engaging day.
