As a former student (2000-2005) I am determined to contribute my time and effort to ensure that Huish succeeds in helping to elevate every student to achieve their full potential. In the role of Director I am committed to providing an effective governance function. To me, this means adopting a continuous focus on raising standards to create an inclusive, safe and inspiring environment, in which to work and learn.
In 2010 I graduated with a degree in history and international relations from the London School of Economics. I went on to work in the European Parliament before taking on a range of public affairs roles with the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), in London and Brussels. To date my career has focused on corporate communication, business development and public policy making. I also have experience managing the corporate governance operations of the CBI and understand what is required of an actively engaged, effective board.
I have a particular interest in improving the routes into work for young people. As a Director I will champion access to excellent career advice, mentoring and work experience for students, professional development for staff and greater business-academy collaboration.
