Huish Academy delivers an extensive programme of clubs, societies and extra-curricular activities running daily during break and lunch times and after 3.30pm. We pride ourselves in developing in our students the 'Huish Edge'; an innate confidence in their own ability across a wide variety of skills.

This approach is part of our 'Results Plus' programme where students master skills in communication, teamwork, presentation skills, problem solving and independent thinking, alongside other 'soft' skills that we believe are essential in order to succeed in modern life.

One of the areas we believe makes Huish Academy and Huish Sixth so special is our outstanding expressive arts subjects. We have a history of outstanding result in both GCSE and A level Art and Design, Textiles, Drama and Music. Throughout the year subject areas conduct performances, concerts, tours and exhibitions whilst also delivering workshops and seminars using both local and national companies for a wide range of students from all year groups. We have a rich history of previous students who have become hugely successful in areas such as Art, Design and Fashion.
