The Music Department at Huish Episcopi Academy currently provides instrumental lessons on a range of instruments, through an extracurricular team of outstanding tutors, all of which have full DBS clearance.

Tuition is currently available on piano, voice, violin, clarinet, saxophone, all brass instruments, flute and there is also provision for music theory. Rock School & Drumsense grading systems are also available for those wanting bass, drum kit, guitar, voice and keyboard tuition. 

The cost of tuition is approximately £10 for twenty-minute lessons and £15 for half an hour. However, the prices charged by each instrumental tutor may vary slightly.

Extra-Curricular Music Tuition Form

Students will not be able to start having music lessons at the Academy until this form is returned.

Your contact details along with your son/daughter’s lesson timetable will be passed to the instrumental tutor who will then contact you regarding your required start date, preferred lesson duration and prices.

The music department works with a set of existing tutors. Therefore, students already having lessons in primary school will not always be able to work with the same tutor upon arrival at Huish. An initial meet and greet session will be provided at the beginning of school year to meet all peripatetic tutors.
