Huish Academy is working in collaboration with eight other Academies across the South West with a view to supporting high achieving students in their development of skills and experiences which will help them in future aspirational Higher Education applications.
This year, eleven students from Huish took part in the Challenge Plus launch event. The students worked with students from other schools and their brief was to consider the problem of transporting tomatoes down a mountain in Nepal. Along with the practical issues the students needed to consider the ethical and social issues around the task, and give a presentation to the rest of the groups.
We are delighted that four Huish students were in the winning team: Toby Morton (Year 8), Jess Glover, Betsy Neeve and Luke Macpherson all Year 10. Well done team!
