A comprehensive Careers Information, Advice and Guidance programme is available to help support your son/ daughter making the right choices about their future as they move through Huish Academy. This programme is delivered during PSHE sessions and form periods. By the end of the programme the broad aims are to have well motivated, confident students who achieve and have aspirations to better themselves. Within huish i a comprehensive careers site has been developed which goes into greater detail than this webpage. Please use the huish i careers link to access this.
A Huish student should be able to research careers and future pathways with confidence, write CV's, Covering letters and Application forms. They should be able talk confidently about their future; they should know their target grades, and be able to agree an action plan with an Independent careers adviser.
