Huish Sixth

Academic Guidance

Huish Sixth

A comprehensive Careers Information, Advice and Guidance programme is available to help support your son/ daughter making the right choices about their future as they move through Huish Sixth. This programme is delivered during form periods/free periods. By the end of the programme the broad aims are to have well motivated, confident students who achieve and have aspirations to better themselves.

A Huish Sixth student should be able to research careers and future pathways with confidence, write CV's, Covering letters and Application forms. They should be able talk confidently about their future; they should know their target grades, and be able to agree an action plan with an Independent careers adviser.
