Academic Scholarships

These scholarships, which offer a £500 bursary, reflect the academic ethos of Huish Sixth. Offers for this scholarship are likely to be conditional on the achievement of specified GCSE results of grade 9 accompanied by an application letter laying out why

you believe you should receive the scholarship including description of an outstanding piece of work completed this year in your chosen subject area. There are scholarships on offer across all the subject areas.

Community Scholarships:

This scholarship offers a bursary of £600, and is based on students proposing and then executing a community based project in order to enhance either student life in Huish Sixth or to make a contribution to the community in and around the local area. Application should take the form of a letter outlining the project you would like to undertake.

Access to Academia Scholarships:

Applicable to families with an income of below £35,000 Families can receive either free travel or a bursary of

£700. Application in writing, outlining a significant and outstanding piece of work that you have completed

in your chosen subject area. Offers for this scholarship are likely to require at least a grade 7 or above in your chosen subject area.

All applications need to be made to Mr Woodward via email. The closing date for all applications is Friday 9th August at midday.
