  • @ChorleyWayne @Al17lyons , one of the Academy's future superstars has decided to chip in and set the class of 2019 a new challenge of 91 kippie uppies. In addition, he has one assist from the log burner. Great effort Levi, this is the best video I have watched, smashing it

  • Happy World Book Day! We are celebrating World Book Day a bit differently this year. We may not be able to dress-up and have fun in the usual way, but we can still celebrate the power of a good book to inspire and entertain. This year we asked students to enter our 'Book Bake-Off' and 'Show Us Your Shelfie' competitions and here are just a few of our entrants. How amazing are these cakes?....and the home libraries: wonderful! Students have also been listening to stories during their tutor times, teachers have been changing their backgrounds to their favourite books and authors, and they've also been spending the start of lessons talking to students about books. In addition, please look out for the 'BIG FAMILY BOOK NIGHT QUIZ' which we've emailed home for everyone to enter. The quiz is suitable for the whole family and there's a fantastic hamper to be won! Bake-off and Shelfie winners will be notified next week. The £1 World Book Day vouchers can be accessed via the Huish Herald.
