  • This week, the latest episode of the Great British Bake Off was shown on TV. Whilst some of the showstoppers were impressive, we are sure our students can do much better. So, we proudly announce that the Great Huish International Bake-Off is back! We are asking for something pretty and tasty with an INTERNATIONAL THEME. Students should bring their creations to MFL on Friday 1st October before 9am. The competition is open to all students and all entries will receive House points. After judging, the cakes will be sold at breaktime, raising funds towards Mr Bagnara's London Marathon for Mencap.

  • Maisie from Year 7 recently entered a writing competition where she reviewed Onjali Raul's book 'The Boy at the Back of the Class'. The book is a story about the refugee crisis as seen through the eyes of a child. Maisie was sent a beautiful poetry book as a prize – well done! Making Pennard proud.
