  • Poetry competition winner announced - congratulations Harry! We are delighted to announce that the poem in first place in this year's poetry competition is the thought-provoking 'Year of Fear' by Harry in Year 10. The judge's comments were 'The strong rhythm and clever half-rhymes in this topical poem gave it an urgent, energetic quality. I also felt it had a clear message of the importance of reflection and re-evaluation in this, as it pointed out, historical moment in our shared history'. All the prize winners were presented with certificates, signed by Principal Chris Wade, and won Amazon vouchers and a beautiful book of poetry. Thank you so much to all the students who took part; we were delighted with the work that had gone in to writing them and thank you to Tracy Williams, our esteemed judge.
