Comment on the recent Ofsted Inspection report
We wish to update you on the recent Ofsted monitoring visit that occurred at Huish Episcopi Academy on 25th and 26th April, as part of the ongoing process of Special Measures. This process includes progress visits from Ofsted to ensure improvements are being made. We enclose the final copy of their report, which will be published on the OFSTED website within the next week or so.
The main focus of this visit was Safeguarding, which was a primary concern that led to our current status. We are pleased to report that the visit was positive, and the inspectors acknowledged our efforts to improve safeguarding and the school's behavioural environment.
The Ofsted report now rates our safeguarding as effective. This is encouraging news and reflects the hard work of our entire school community.
However, there is still much work to be done. We remain focused on further embedding our improved safeguarding practices and addressing other areas of improvement. We are confident in our ability to make these improvements but understand the need to be consistent in our approach.
We are committed to providing a quality education and environment for your children. Your continued support is appreciated during this transformative period.
