Law A Level
Examining Board: AQA
Overview
Studying Law will give you an understanding of the role of Law in today's society and raise your awareness of the rights and responsibilities you have within society. We will consider the philosophical underpinning of the law alongside the practical elements of how laws are made and how the law is used within the court system. The study of law will also explore elements of criminal law (murder, manslaughter and forms of theft); tort law (negligence and nuisance); and contract law (key elements and terms). Law is most certainly for the critical thinkers and problem solvers as you will use this knowledge to tackle exemplar cases and argue what could be done according to the law and to precedent. Law A Level is an excellent foundation for further study or for an apprenticeship.
