Transport

The Academy currently has an arrangement with local coach companies, to provide transport from the Yeovil area to the academy, for some of our students.  This arrangement is under regular review, but it is hoped it will continue next year, from Sept 2024.  There is a charge for the service, which is £950 for the year, however the price is reviewed periodically – students are required to commit for a full-year to access this service by payment in advance.  The coach does pick up and drop off from Larkhill Road at present, but bus stops are also reviewed based on the location of the student addresses. The morning pick-ups start in Yeovil at 8am, and the bus will leave the school site at 4.30pm.

For information on County transport please contact the local authority on: 0845 3459155

Students bringing motorcycles to school or driving themselves, must register their vehicle details with reception and drive with due care and attention when on the site. If students fail to observe these requirements, or act in a dangerous or inconsiderate manner, permission will be withdrawn.

Equal Opportunities

Huish Sixth is committed to providing equal opportunities for all students who meet the required entry level for the relevant course. All courses are organised and delivered to ensure equality of access and engagement for all students. Huish Sixth is designed to ensure students have equal access to all areas. Students with specific learning needs will be supported by staff from our SEN department throughout their time at Huish Sixth.
